"Kid Witness News is a hands-on video education program developed and supported by Panasonic. The program is structured to develop student's self-confidence, creativity, communication skills and teamwork through the use of digital video technology."
KWN includes students from schools across the country, and the messages in their videos have common themes. Through the production of videos, students are able to share "The World Through Their Eyes."
Each KWN team must submit two videos each year to remain active in the program. A team of students and faculty from NY and NJ colleges serve as preliminary judges in the 1st round judging process. Videos are then submitted for a second round of judging by a panel of broadcasting/film industry professionals.
