    Upon the successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of the use of a digital camera.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of the use of Adobe Photoshop software to create and manipulate imagery.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of and be able to use the visual elements of design to produce successful photographs and artworks.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of and be able to use various photographic terms and techniques.

    ~Participate in brainstorming, interpreting and the critique.

    ~Modify photos after the critique.

    ~Distinguish the visual elements of photography.

    ~Demonstrate an awareness of subject matter and emotion as applied to photography.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of appropriate computer peripherals, including the printer, scanner, etc.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of planning, following schedules.

    ~Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of methods, procedures, and requirements for properly preparing materials for individual and group critiques and displays.

    ~Demonstrate a basic understanding of the History of Photography.
