2026-27 School District Budget
Holland Patent voters approve 2026-27 budget; elect one board of education member

The Holland Patent Central School District thanks all of the district residents who came out to vote. Holland Patent voters approved the district’s $45,330,604 budget for the 2026-27 school year on May 19. Residents also elected one board of education member and approved the purchase of four school buses for $573,841 and approved the proposed $30,750,000 capital improvement project.
Compared to the 2025-26 school year, the proposal carried a 3.25% tax levy increase, which is below the district’s calculated 5.02% tax levy limit.
The budget proposition passed with 524 yes votes and 351 no votes.
Bus proposition
The proposition authorizing the district to purchase four school buses passed with a vote of 590 yes; 249 no.
Capital Improvement Project proposition
The proposition authorizing the district to proceed with $30,750,000 capital improvement project to update school facilities and infrastructure passed with a vote of 519 yes; 363 no.
Board of education election
Three candidates sought election to one open board of education seat.
The seat is for a five-year term from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2031.
