FFA Celebrates Success and Leadership at Annual Awards Banquet

The Holland Patent FFA Chapter hosted its annual Awards Banquet on June 3, bringing together students, families, alumni and supporters to celebrate a year of premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. The event underscored the FFA's mission to make a positive difference in the lives of its members.

The evening's program was a comprehensive recognition of the chapter's achievements and the dedication of its members and community. The banquet began with a welcome address and invocation, followed by opening ceremonies. Alumni and supporters were recognized for their ongoing commitment to the FFA program. A highlight of the evening was the keynote address delivered by Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon, who spoke to the assembled guests.

The ceremony proceeded with various awards and recognitions, including certificates of appreciation and fundraising awards. Committee members were acknowledged for their hard work. Student achievements were celebrated with the awarding of the Discovery FFA Degree, Jacket Awards, and recognition for participation in CDE and LDE. A presentation of the Junior Creed Speaking demonstrated students' public speaking skills.

Further accolades included the Leadership Award, Career Development Award and the Greenhand Degree for new members. Proficiency recognition highlighted individual skill development in agricultural areas, while the Chapter Degree was awarded to deserving members. SO and DP Recognition acknowledged practical experiences. The esteemed Honorary FFA Degrees were presented to individuals who have significantly contributed to the chapter. Empire Degree Recognition celebrated those who achieved the highest state FFA degree.

A poignant part of the banquet was the Senior Recognition, honoring the graduating members for their contributions and futures. The 2024-25 Officers were also recognized for their leadership: President Madeline Snider, Vice President Aiden Kraeger, Secretary Addison Snider, Treasurer Claire Favata, Reporter Reese Finn, Sentinel Bella Bulson, Historian Izzy Schuler and Student Advisor Aaron Finn. Co-advisors Megan Lamb and Sabrina Underwood were acknowledged for their guidance. The banquet concluded with the announcement of the 2025-26 Officers and closing ceremonies, setting the stage for future success.
