Harmonious Finale for the Taste of the Arts Program

Holland Patent Central School District sprung into song at the annual Spring Chorus Concert on May 19. The program featured performances by Fourth through Sixth Grade Chorus, Seventh through Eighth Grade Chorus, High School Select Chorus, and High School Mixed Chorus under the direction of Bethany Swift.

The concert not only showcased the skill and dedication of student vocalists but also highlighted several outstanding individual achievements:

Music Achievement Award — Norah Bulson, Siobhan Firsching, and Abbi Howard were honored with the Music Achievement Award for eighth graders in chorus, recognizing their growth and commitment throughout the year.

Vocal Ensemble Award —Vaeh Lohnes and Aien Pinkos were recognized for their dedication to MidKnight. They have been members of the group for several years and are known for their strong singing and dancing abilities.

The National School Choral Award® — Liz Buckland and Michayla Sandler received the highest honor for high school choral performers, recognizing their dedication and outstanding musical achievement as the program’s top two choral students. 

Senior Recognition — Seniors Julia Belcamino, Liz Buckland, Elli Horan, Nevaeh Lohnes, Aiden Pinkos, Michayla Sandler, LilyAnn Tracy, Izabella Walters, and Kahlan Williamson were also recognized for their years of contribution to the chorus program.

A note of appreciation goes to Karen Corigliano for accompanying the performers and to Ms. Miranda Paulino, who assisted throughout the evening and provided a graceful cello performance.

This year’s Taste of the Arts program concluded on a harmonious note. The evening brought families, friends and community members together to celebrate the arts and applaud the dedication of Holland Patent’s students. Their performances reflected not only technical skill but also the passion and teamwork that define the district’s music program.
