Students at Holland Patent Middle School proved they were right on the mark this second marking period, earning recognition for their commitment to citizenship and academic excellence. 

On Feb. 4, Principal Lisa Gentile presented awards to students in grades sixth through eighth. These awards honor students who exemplify the school’s core values by demonstrating respect, responsibility, teamwork, integrity and a commitment to excellence. Each student recognized received a certificate, t-shirt and pin to celebrate their accomplishments. 

The Academic All Stars recognized students who have excelled in their coursework and shown outstanding dedication to learning. The Citizenship Awards recognized students who make meaningful contributions to the school community through leadership, kindness and a willingness to help others. Students were nominated by their teachers for these distinctions. 

“We are incredibly proud of these students. Their achievements reflect not only academic success but also the values that make our school community special,’ said Gentile. “Recognizing character, citizenship and academics together ensures that our students are prepared to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.”

Holland Patent Central School District applauds all students who received awards and their dedication to fostering a positive learning environment. These recognitions not only celebrate student success but also inspire students to strive for excellence.
