Seniors Miranda Millick and Caleb Savery were honored at the 36th Annual Section III Scholar-Athlete Dinner. This prestigious event, presented by Coca-Cola Bottling Company of NY, recognizes the top male and female senior scholar-athletes from each of the 105 schools within Section III who have excelled both in the classroom and on the playing field.

The dinner, held on June 9 at the SRC Arena on the campus of Onondaga Community College, celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of these student-athletes. The Section III Scholar-Athlete Award is considered the highest academic honor bestowed by the organization. To be eligible for this esteemed recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 90% or better and have participated in varsity competition in a Section III-sponsored sport. Additional factors such as community service, exemplary citizenship or other extracurricular activities are also taken into consideration, highlighting the well-rounded nature of these individuals.

Launched in 1988 with the goal of honoring scholastic and athletic excellence, this program has recognized more than 3,000 students since its inception.

The Holland Patent Central School District extends its heartfelt congratulations to Miranda and Caleb on this well-deserved tribute. Their dedication to both academic rigor and athletic achievement exemplifies the very best of Holland Patent student-athletes. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
