Snow Much Fun at the BREIA/BROEP Program

Seventh Grade Cross-Country Ski Adventure at Black River Environmental Improvement Association (BREIA)/The Black River Outdoor Education Program (BROEP)!

Our Holland Patent Middle School seventh graders recently hit the trails for an unforgettable cross-country skiing field trip as part of their physical education class. Thanks to this incredible program, all equipment was provided FREE, giving every student the opportunity to participate and succeed.

From beginners to advanced skiers, students built confidence while learning ski etiquette, safety, and technique, along with hands-on lessons in geology, ecology, biology, and local history. It’s learning that goes far beyond the classroom walls.

Did you know? BREIA also offers community programs and outdoor winter activities for families to enjoy together all season long. Be sure to check them out at https://www.breiax-countryski.org/education-broep/!

We’re so proud of our students for stepping outside their comfort zones, trying something new and embracing an active lifestyle.
