April 3, 2020 Message from Superintendent Evangelist

April 3, 2020

Good Afternoon Golden Knights.  As HPCSD shifts to new instruction using various online learning tools (such as Google Classroom, SeeSaw), our students need to be actively engaged and complete their work as assigned.  New work that is being provided will be graded. Teachers and support staff have been setting up schedules for providing classroom support for students and assessing student learning.  For students who currently do not have access to the internet at their homes, hard copies of the assignments have been mailed home.

We will be holding a COVID-19 virtual community forum with County Executive Anthony Picente, Phyllis Ellis, Director of Oneida County Health Department and Dr. Christopher Alinea on April 9 from 6:00-7:00.  More information will follow.

Just a reminder, school is closed until April 15.  If you have any additional questions, please contact your child’s building principal.  Thank you for all earning at home is a significant change for our students.  Our teachers are here to support you and your child's continued learning throughout the closure.  Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate through this crisis together.  Be safe and have a great weekend.
