April 7, 2020 Message from Superintendent Evangelist
April 7, 2020
Good Afternoon. Governor Cuomo has extended school closures throughout the state through April 29, 2020. At this time, we are scheduled to return to school on or about Wednesday, April 29. Our instructional plans and meal distribution will continue through this date. We have also received information from the NYS Board of Regents that the Regents Exams are canceled with more guidance to follow.
On Thursday, April 9, at 6:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m., the District is hosting a “virtual community forum”. District residents are invited to a question and answer forum with County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Director of the Oneida County Department of Health Phyllis Ellis and District Physician Dr. Christopher Alinea. The forum is an opportunity for District residents to receive the very latest information concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. Please visit our website for the link and information on how to submit questions.
If you are an essential employee and in need of childcare, please contact the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison Child Care Resource Center at 315-223-7850 extension 222 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just a reminder that during the closure, all District facilities, including playgrounds, basketball courts and track are closed for use. We are asking everyone to remain off these facilities as we continue to implement social distancing in all situations. Thank you for your support and understanding. Also, thank you for all the positive feedback left recognizing the hard work and dedication of everyone on the HPCSD Team! It is greatly appreciated. Please be safe.
