Holland Patent CSD Announces Interim Superintendent of Schools

The Holland Patent Central School District Board of Education announced the temporary appointment of Cynthia (Cyndi) B. DeDominick as the interim superintendent of schools at their meeting on June 1, 2021. DeDominick will temporarily fill the vacancy left by the departure of Holland Patent superintendent of schools Jason Evangelist at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.

DeDominick will begin duties as the interim superintendent of schools on July 1, 2021, as the Holland Patent Board of Education continues their search for the next permanent superintendent of schools. She will also serve as deputy superintendent of schools from June 7-30, 2021, working with Evangelist, Holland Patent administrators and faculty to acclimate herself to the district.

“The Holland Patent Board of Education looks forward to working with Mrs. DeDominick and continuing our successes as we set our intention on closing educational gaps this summer and reopening in the fall,” said Lydia Berez-Kelly, president of the Holland Patent Central School District Board of Education. “Mrs. DeDominick brings with her many skills and a wealth of experience that will help to quickly bridge the gap during this transition as we search for and select our new superintendent."

DeDominick previously served as superintendent of the Lansingburgh and Madison Central School Districts, K-12 and 7-12 principal of the Madison CSD, assistant principal of Herkimer BOCES Career and Technical Education and reading teacher at the Madison-Oneida BOCES.
