First Grade Students Shine in "Our Animal Friends" Spring Concert
On April 16, Holland Patent first grade students presented their spring concert titled, “Our Animal Friends” at General William Floyd Elementary. This performance was a true collaboration: Mrs. Gutowski guided students in learning songs about a variety of animals, and Mr. Verri helped them bring those animals to life with creative hats.
The concert took the audience on a musical journey through the animal kingdom, from the energetic "Awesome Animals" to the gentle "Soft Kitty" and "My Dog." Students brought movement to the stage with "The Penguin Polka" and "A Bouncing Baby Bunny," explored musical expression in "Poor Little Bug," and told a whimsical tale in "A Mouse and a Moose and a Little Green Frog." The finale, an alphabetical animal parade, was a powerful tribute to "Our Animal Friends."
The Golden Knights PTA provided a sweet treat to celebrate the students' success. A big thank you to everyone involved in making this event so special!
