We'll Miss You, Ms. Tuthill!
As of Tuesday, January 21th, 9th grade algebra teacher Ms. Tuthill will no longer be with us in the Holland Patent school system. Ms. Tuthill taught the same algebra curriculum to high school students and a fraction of the 8th grade here at the middle school. She will be missed by all of her students, but those who have had the privilege to learn from her in her time spent at the middle school have taken many measures to show her their appreciation. On her last day of after school help, some students brought her cookies, letters, and framed photographs. One student even baked a cake and presented it to her on Friday. Though Ms. Tuthill will be missed, she plans to return near the end of this school year to help teach regents review and has left her classes with an equally helpful new teacher.
Ms. Kupiec has become acquainted with both the high school and middle school classes she is to teach for the remainder of this year, as she assisted Ms. Tuthill all of last week in preparing them for the unit test last Friday. The students are looking forward to be under the guidance of a new teacher and are willing to make it as easy as possible for Ms. Kupiec to familiarize herself in the Holland Patent School District.
We all wish the very best for Ms. Tuthill in all of her future endeavors and welcome Ms. Kupiec to the middle and high school here at Holland Patent.
