• Classroom Procedures for Health Education

Entering the classroom- Hand in any homework that is due, get out your journal, and begin answering the daily question in your journal. Need help-raise your hand and wait quietly for the teacher.

Being late to class- Three lates to class will result in a detention. If a students has a pass from a teacher they will not be penalized for being late.

Bathroom or locker- It is a Middle School policy that no student be excused from class to use the bathroom or go to their locker. Therefore, if students need to use the bathroom or go to their lock they must do so during the 3 minutes between classes or during a study hall.

Materials- Students should always bring their health binder and something to write with to class.

Listening and Responding- Everyone will be given an opportunity to discuss their ideas and voice their questions, but please listen when others speak. Good communication skills include being a good listener.

Question Box- If you have a question that you would like for me to answer during class, but you don't feel comfortable ask it in front of the class. You may write your question down on a piece of paper and place it in the question box located on my desk. The box will be checked daily, and I will do my best to answer your question in a future class. A name is not required with the question.

Absences- Check with me for any missed work immediately upon return.

Handing in work- All work should be handed in on time. Later work will lose points.
