The buildings and grounds departments involves much more than maintaining our buildings and grounds! Our department includes custodians, cleaners, and maintenance personnel. These individuals install technology, control pesticide applications, oversee building security, coordinate safety calendar, manage the HP recycling program (including the purchase of "green" products). In addition we transport and set up for all school events and activities, complete monthly inspections of all facilities for cleanliness and safety, ensure fire codes are met, procure and repair furniture, maintain and repair boilers and heat systems. Our certified electricians install, repair and replace electrical equipment. Along with their regular duties, our maintenance staff performs masonry, carpentry and plumbing duties whenever necessary.
