Family

My family is very supportive and believes that education comes first! I have two brothers and one sister. We all have graduated from Holland Patent School District and have gone to college. I am blessed with having wonderful role models as members of a school district including my husband,sister, sister in law, and brother in law who are all teachers and my father who is a retired principal. My husband and I met while playing indoor soccer and we have been married for seven years. Our son Easton is currently 5 years old and will be starting Kindergarten and I have a little girl Macilynn who just turned 1.

Experience

I have taught fifth grade and third grade at Kernan Elementary in the Utica City School District. This will be my seventh year teaching second grade at Holland Patent School District and I couldn't be more thrilled. Second grade is by far one of my favorite grades to teach because the students have so much curiosity, questions, and willingness to show that they want to learn.
