Hi! I'm so excited to be teaching reading and some math this year at HPE! This is my first year in the RTI Reading/Math position at HPE. Last year I taught 6th Grade Social Studies at our Middle School and previously I taught 12 years of special education here at HPE. I am looking forward to working with students in small groups to grow in the areas of reading and math. I hope all students leave my room with a love for learning and see the best in themselves! Every learner can grow through hard work and dedication!

I graduated from the Holland Patent Central School District and continue to be a resident in this beautiful area. I received my Associates Degree from MVCC in Utica, my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Childhool and Special Education from Utica College, and attained my Masters Degree in Literacy from SUNY Cortland. I continue to learn through classes and workshops that are offered. 

When I'm not at school, I love spending my time with my husband, 2 children, my golden retriever Penny, and my 2 cats Star and Luna. I also love to read, travel, and spend time outdoors. This summer we camped a lot in the Adirondacks and even traveled to Alaska! The great thing about reading is that it can take you to places all over the world from the comfort of your own home!
