Welcome to our classroom! My name is Mrs. Stockhauser, and I am thrilled to be your teacher this year! I have been working in the district since 2005, during which time I have taught all content areas for 3rd grade and 5th grade, and 6th & 7th grade Home & Careers. This year in 5th grade, I will be teaching all content areas. I know that you will love the fifth grade just as much as I do! We will be writing all kinds of interesting stories, reading books of various genres, multiplying fractions in math, learning about the Western Hemisphere in social studies, and creating controlled experiments during science. A lot of our work and research will be completed on your student Chromebooks or iPads. We also look forward to going on some fun field trips.My husband Craig and I have three wonderful children who keep us extremely busy! Their names are: William, Trenton, and Ava. I also have a silly Yellow Lab named Kuya, who loves to go swimming with the family. We have a pet German Shephard, named Kratos, who loves to play hide and go seek with my children, and fetching tennis balls. Our latest pet addition is a Dwarf bunny named Ollie. You will learn all about my family because I love sharing stories about them with the class. I can't wait to learn all about you and your family too, including any pets!In my spare time, I enjoy reading, and watching my children play sports and listening to them play their instruments. I love teaching, as well as learning about new things. I am constantly taking college courses and professional development training to stay current with the latest advances in education. I am looking forward to another fascinating journey this year both in and outside of the classroom!
